Weight up by 3 pounds

Saturday, February 08, 2020

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!
!!!
My weight is up by 3 pounds!!! I know why. I have a cold and have been babying myself. I've been eating and drinking whatever I want including two chicken mcgriddles and Starbucks Venti frappicinos daily. So no wonder I put on weight with all my fat intake. I'm still sick, but it's time to get back on the plan of action and get this weight back off. I can do it because I was doing it before. Go me!!

Hi again! Another thing that can cause daily weight fluctuation is how much water you drink. We are told to drink 8 glasses or more a day, but we aren't told that each 16 oz of water weighs 1.04 pounds! So, if you do drink 8, that is 4 pounds of water a day! Experts also say don't weigh daily which we all do anyway. We should weigh once a week and then take the average for the month to get our weigh.

Three pounds is not the end of the world. It is probably just water gain from all the salt in the McDonald's and Starbucks. So, just start tracking again and being good to yourself. Plan your meals ahead of time and snack on grapes and nuts. You can do this. There are a lot of other yummy and healthy alternatives out there to eat. Be open to finding or preparing them. It's not just about losing pounds and inches. It really is changing your mindset to food. I've lost 120 pounds and most of it was done dieting and not a lot of exercise so YOU can do this!

Left you a long comment just now on your previous blog post. My suggestion here: make small changes, so you can *still* do the things that give you comfort (make/get 'skinny' fraps, and *occasionally*, as a treat for good BEHAVIORs have a small (not venti) Starbucks one, so you can still have the taste of it, while not blowing your plan completely) allows you to still follow an attainable plan of action, so you can have victories around following it, which will, sooner, or later (and slower is okay ('slow and steady wins')) still get/reach your greater goals, like losing weight, inches, sizes.

Comfort is important; 'babying' yourself is self-care, especially when you are not feeling well. Also, do trade-offs: track how much that smaller/skinnier frap is, but then indulge in your fav lower calorie, healthier dish that does follow your plan; research some easy, tasty on-plan foods. Also indulge in non-food indulgences that help you heal yourself, and others that make you feel babied/cared for: make a list (maybe find some online) so you can have victories even when you are feeling ill. Go you!

You can do this. Avoid Starbucks and those frappachinos! There is absolutely nothing in those that is good for you. I gained a lot of pounds from grande size drinks. Save $, lose weight and stop going there. I know in the grande frappe...there are 14 tablespoons of sugar! Break the sugar addiction and you’ll be on the way to goal!
