Spring Challenge Week #3

I struggled with motivation all week. I'm a total introvert, so quarantine life has been pretty pleasant, but I've just felt sluggish lately. I've been tackling some pretty big organization projects, so those get me going, but then I don't feel like doing anything else. I skipped cooking dinner one night (hubby made grilled cheese for us instead) and I skipped my Wednesday workout for the second week in a row. I completed my long run today, but I was struggling just 20 minutes into it. I kept praying for God to give me the energy to keep going, and thankfully I had updated my playlist this morning so I had some good tunes to help. So, I'm hoping I snap out of this funk soon! I did decide on Thursday to come up with a weight-loss incentive plan--more like bribery plan! I finally found something that seemed to be motivating enough that I'd be willing to work hard for, so I made that my reward for hitting my goal weight. But then I came up with some smaller rewards for every 5 pounds I lose on the way to goal weight. I've tried stuff like this before, but it's never really stuck, so we'll see.

Weekly Exercise Recap:
Monday - Body Pump 55 minutes, walked 15 minutes
Tuesday - Turtle-pace run on treadmill 30 minutes, 10 min. warmup/cool down, Body Flow class 55 minutes
Wednesday - nothing
Thursday - Turtle-pace run on treadmill 44 minutes, 10 min. warmup/cool down, plus some extra walking to get up to 60 minutes for the day
Friday - Body Pump 55 minutes, Body Flow 20 minutes
Saturday - Turtle-pace run on treadmill 87 minutes, 10 min. warmup/cool down

As you can see, lack of motivation doesn't mean I don't exercise at all, but I can tell you my Body Pump squats weren't nearly as low as they would have been at the gym and I wouldn't have received any awards for my healthy eating most days this week. And mostly I can just tell in my attitude.

Okay, time to get off the couch and do something productive and snap out of it. emoticon

    I am like you, an introvert and reclusion doesn't seem to bother me at all. It's this crazy weather, cold, snow, rain, cold rain, gray skies....just so hard to get my mojo going at times. Good job exercising! Even at a slow pace (probably what I consider fast) exercise is exercise.
