Progress report for the halfway mark of the 5% Spring Challenge

Saturday, May 02, 2020

Things I'm pleased about:

emoticon I've maintained my commitment to post on the board daily and be an active member of the team
emoticon I've kept my food journal faithfully, writing every bite even if it took me over my calorie range
emoticonI've weighed and measured my portions often
emoticon I've met my commitment for minutes of exercise per week, and even exceeded it
emoticon I've participated in the mini challenges, which led me to try some new activities and new recipes, be more mindful of the journey, and stay focused on what's important
emoticon I've kept a positive attitude

Things I could do better:

emoticon I could eat more fruits and veggies daily
emoticon I could stay within my calorie range more consistently
emoticon I could challenge myself with more vigorous weight-training and yoga workouts
emoticon I could weigh and measure my portions more often
emoticon I could try to go to sleep earlier so that I'm better rested
emoticon I could blog my progress, challenges, ideas, and so on - they say that blogging can really help you be successful in whatever you're trying to do
emoticon I could pre-plan my menu
emoticon I could cut back even more on empty calories like snacks and beer
