Enjoying a Challenge - I AM a Weight Warrier !

This is my first attempt to be part of a group of amazing people who have been so encouraging to help others get healthier by many different challenges and suggestions. I have had success by tracking my food, allowing a treat, not beating myself up for going over calories, jumping back in and keep on going.
I have enjoyed tracking - even when it seems it never ends, it is showing me how to shop better for calories during the day and getting the best out of those calories for myself. It's not perfect, it's a work in progress and I am up to that challenge- I will keep on tracking as these helps me to be accountable to ME.
A 20 minute meal has been so beneficial for one who usually inhales their food - of course there will be times I inhale - but I will continue to try to have one meal a day that is at least 20 minutes. There are a variety of things I can do since I eat at my laptop and have a lot of things I can read or watch.
I don't expect to have rapid weight loss, infact to me, that would be unhealthy. I want it gradually so I and my body and mind can adjust to the change.
Already I hear from people, about the weight loss. While that feels good, its not why I am wanting to reduce weight. As an older adult, I have a host of health issues related to age and dropping unnecesary weight baggage will help with the healing.
For every pound I loose I take 4 pounds of stress off my knees or so I have heard. I like that idea and it will keep me going.
Getting on the recombend bike and cycling 10 minutes at a time ( any more and my foot pads go numb) has helped with the hip flexors and I am now able to go for old long walks I used to do.
Being consistant is important - especially when inconsistancy is my norm. I am greatful for my team - Weight Warriers and recommend that if you seriously want to loose weight join a challenge team that will modivate you.
