1/24/2021 Where I’m At Today, 47 Months Later.

Today is a Beautiful Day. I have come a long way from when I joined in March 2017. I was 60 pounds overweigh, on cholesterol medication for 25 years and laid dying in the hospital with a glucose reading on 810 and an A1C of 13.8%.. I could not do more then 5 minutes on my treadmill without feeling exhausted.

Today I am 70 years old on NO diabetic medication and my glucose averages 83 daily, my A1C is 5.6%. I've been off of cholesterol now for 6 months. My total Cholesterol is 180, HDL is 62 and the LDL is 101.

I now work out a minimum of 2 hours every day lifting weights (bench pressing 195 pound) and/or jogging.

Yesterday was one of my greatest personal achievements. I walked/jogged/ran for 10 hours in 7 degree weather. From Fitbit I earned the 50000, 55000, 60000 and 65000 badges. I did a total of 65791 steps and did 30.95 miles, more than a normal marathon. This is from a man that couldn't do 5 minutes on a treadmill in a day.

I want people to know who are new to this program do not get discouraged, it works, IF we work it. We can live better with the proper life style "meals" and dedicated to do our workouts, we can then live a better life.

I need to stay dedicated to the program because I know I could backslide at any time.
