Need to get serious..

Sunday, March 07, 2021

Well Doctor visits are over for a bit. Heart Dr wants my cholesterol down-it's too high, so she changed my meds. I hate relying on meds for this, when I know that if I lose weight the numbers will go down. I need to get serious. I ate pretty well yesterday - although not enough, which is my problem lately. A yogurt for breakfast, a huge meal, and then junk to tide me through the evening hours (when I stay up way too late, but don't want to eat because it's so late).

We did get the dog out and walked for the last few days. Friday we did a walk halfway around the lake, we used to walk all the way around the lake before Covid, but can't do that anymore-that will take some work. Yesterday we just walked around the block. I didn't want to do too much because today was supposed to be flea market day-but DH got his Covid shot yesterday and unlike me, he is not feeling well today. So no flea market. I may get on the new mini trampoline this afternoon and try it out! Tomorrow I think it will be " starting to clean out the garage day" . Then finishing the office which is almost done. It looks pretty good. Got rid of a lot of paper....

I need to work on a regular sleep pattern which will allow healthier eating patterns. No more staying up with DH - he can stay up alone if he wants. Hmmm maybe he can watch all of his murder solving shows after I go to bed. I don't like a steady diet of those, this could work well!

Changes need to be made and I need to get back to better health! I am going to research who is opening up for water aerobics again and get that started again. I miss it so! It is also an exercise DH can do with his leaky heart valve. Walking and water aerobics would be really good for him!
