Doing Well and Talented Kid!

Saturday, March 20, 2021

Last night I picked up Michelle from her field hockey practice and took her home. I thought I was getting both kids but then she comes out to the car with her dog and tells me that she has Riley's mom picking her up and she is spending the night there and she isn't sure if they will drop her off at the apartment or I will have to get her. I was kind of disappointed but it is good for her to hang out with friends. I did ream her out a little about getting a 53 in Global Studies on her progress report even though progress reports don't count she shouldn't be totally failing. I did applaud her for the talent that her art teacher has recognized in her and told her he said she was intuitive with it! He actually states on the report "Shows strong intuitive ability" she asked what intuitive meant and I just said she had talent. So hard for me to explain!

Today I plan on getting my mom some groceries early around 7 am. Then I will see if I have to pick up Michelle or not. It doesn't really matter she never gets up before 10 am over at Riley's especially.

I did finish both the arthritis books I was reading for my mom and will drop them off at her house today as well. I saw Eat, Pray, Love on Netflix with Julia Roberts last week and loved it. Now I am reading that book and about 30% done. I am also reading a book on writing your memoir which is good and I will re-read it when I am done. The memoir book is called Your Life is a Book in case you would want to read it too.

2020 and this year has all been about improving myself. I have really been reading books to do so and have been working on my spiritual side. I am learning how to meditate now by watching Headspace on Netflix even though the other night I fell asleep while watching it. I have seen 2 episodes and will eventually get through it and will keep re-watching until I feel confident without using it.

Work took away badge access for at home workers and now if you need to get in you have to call the manager line. I don't know why that is and I feel like asking about working at home and how long it will go on but I might get a "we don't know" as an answer.

I forgot to ask off for my daughter Megan's birthday on April 2nd. Michelle reminded me last night so as soon as I got home I requested it. I feel so bad. I should have done this and remembered before now.

Have a great weekend!

I also recently watched "Eat Pray Love" on Netflix. Your mention of the book had me searching for it in an online library. Found it available. Yay! I used to enjoy reading the books of movies I've seen (but hadn't done that in awhile.) I would always get so much more out of the story, that way. Thnx for you blog post.

Busy, busy Sarah !! Your books sound interesting and I may have to watch that Headspace on Netflix if it is good at teaching meditation. I can use a zen boost !! Have a happy weekend and enjoy the girls and your Mom. I hope that Michele's sleep over was fun. Take care and God bless, love, Deb :) emoticon
