It's Monday all over again.

Monday, April 12, 2021

Maybe this is a Monday of a bit of change, I hope.
Last evening my cardiologist called me to change my medication. Too many skipped beats and something else I missed that we'll discuss in my next visit in 2 weeks. Between thinking it was odd she'd call me like that, the TV blaring, her accent and my (hate to admit it) less than perfect hearing, I didn't catch all she said.
Maybe this will kick my metabolism into gear a bit. It's been tough being me and not having the physical pep to match my mind. Truth be told there are times I feel like if I laid on the floor I'd fall through it. Other days I can bounce off the walls.

It's a new day! What are you going to do with yours?

I managed to get a mile walk on my lunch (no small feat, I only get 30 minutes), and bought shoes on my way home. Got another mile after DH was home to keep Benji company. Only 3 miles behind in the challenge today!

Yes, it is a new day!
It must have been jarring to have received the call from your doctor, but isn't it amazing how technology makes this remote monitoring possible.
Sending calming and healing vibes your way.

I'm spending my day doing 3 loads of laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, unloading the dishwasher, doing some dishes by hand. I don't feel like it but it is Monday.

I guess the takeaway from that call is kind-of good, in that she didn't move up your appointment to COME IN NOW OR ELSE, and she's still thinking that adjusting the meds can manage the issue. Also, points to her for making a call on a Sunday evening.

My scale is starting to nudge downward again, although as slowly as I lose, it will take time to release the pandemic poundage.

Hmmmm... hope this will help with your recent lack of energy and put some of that pep back in your step!

What will I do with this Monday? Probably laundry! How mundane (Mon-dayne?).

Tomorrow is the big day of seeing my trainer for the first time in over a year... I've gained weight and lost fitness and there's a part of me that's totally embarrassed about "letting myself go". But this has been at least in part, the mental effect of the pandemic on the psyche of Barb!

Here's to fresh starts! Hope the change in meds helps... and that your next visit with the cardiologist gives you more insights. emoticon emoticon

It's grey and rainy here. A great day to put soup on the stove, wear some cozy comfortable clothing, and curl up with a good book.
    Enjoy your Monday.

Hope the new meds will help.
I tend to have lots of energy in the morning (6am - noon)
Then I eat lunch and the TV and couch start calling.
Must resist their voice. The plan is to get in our canoe and see how all the storks are doing. We can hear the chattering of their babies in their nests. "feed me, feed me" LOL

Well, I hope that new medicine helps.
The erratic energy level is a little concerning, don’t you think?
You are usually such a high energy person.… Must be very frustrating for you… And a tad bit scary?

Yes, we are truly sisters under-the-skin...
I have serially complained to my 3 endocrinologists over the years about hypothyroid fatigue, etc, as they wearily sigh as if I should be happy just to be ALIVE (I am, but I want my zippity do dah back!).
I joked to Dr S “Well, I guess I’m not 25 anymore!” and he smirked back at me - I wanted to smack him upside his head! It’s really no joking matter when I don’t feel well...
