A Spiritual Checklist from God’s Word: Everyday Offers a New Beginning

Monday, April 12, 2021

This checklist is brought to you by Colossians 1:9-14. Pray it for yourself, your household, and the body of Christ. Amen. (Acts 16:31; 1 John 5:14-15)

Do I know God’s will for myself? It is there in His Word. He does not keep it hidden from me. If I seek, I will find. (Ephesians 3:3-6, 10-12)

Do I seek His wisdom and possess spiritual understanding so that I can walk worthy of Him? Christ in me has enabled to do these things. Just as Jesus said “I do nothing of myself,” the same goes for me: Spirit-filled, Spirit-led. (Romans 8:4, 14)

Do I do those things that please Him? Obedience to His Word brings God glory. (Hebrews 5:7-9)

Am I bearing fruit of the Holy Spirit? If I abide in Him, I will bear fruit. (John 15:16)

Is my knowledge of God increasing? (2 Peter 3:18)

Am I growing stronger in His power? (1 Peter 5:10)

Am I submitting to Christ as Head, to His lordship in everything daily? (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:23)

Am I resisting temptations successfully? (Matthew 4:4; 1 Corinthians 10:13)

Am I enduring trials of faith victoriously? (James 1:3-4)

Am I truly thankful for so great a salvation? (Philippians 4:4)

Am I making myself ready as to partake of the inheritance? (Revelation 19:7)

Am I operating in the reality that I have been delivered from the dominion of darkness? (John 16:33; Romans 5:17)

Do I know who I am in Christ, in His kingdom? (2 Corinthians 5:17; Revelation 1:6)

Do I realize the meaning of my redemption from the curse of the law? (Galatians 3:13-14)

Do I comprehend and receive that every confessed sin past, present, future is and will be forgiven, and the blood of Jesus Christ has washed me from my sins? (Revelation 1:5)

Colossians 1:9-14 is a powerful prayer! This is God’s will for every saved, born-again child of God (John 1:12-13). Pray it for yourself, your household, and the body of Christ (Ephesians 6:18; 1 John 5:14-15) Amen. Philippians 1:6; Luke 12:32.

Rejoice in the LORD always! Every day is a new beginning....
