Fourth Day Recap (Thursday, April 15, 2021)
Friday, April 16, 2021
Thursday was an odd day it seemed. I woke up to my period starting, which surprised me because I usually have some pretty severe pms symptoms the few days leading up to it. I had none this time. I'm not sure if it was the extra water I was consuming or the physical exercise that contributed to this, but either way I was pleased.
I did a Barre Yoga class on this day. It was fun and a lot of grandmothers in the class with me who were incredibly kind and at all different levels. I fit in well there and will definitely be returning weekly. This class was fun because I've always love dance and loved how it incorporates not only dance and ballet poses and moves, but also cardio, strengthening, and stretching. It was an upbeat fast paced class that really hit every target of exercise. I was not feeling as sore on this day as I did Wednesday and any soreness I had left was mostly gone after that class.
For lunch I had a frozen healthy meal. It was beef and broccoli and I did not enjoy it. Very dry and bland. I noticed later that there was a lot of sauce under the steam basket insert. I'm not sure if I was supposed to get rid of the steamer basket and mix that in? Either way, imo it wasn't worth the money and is probably healthier to just make my own version. I also suffered a pretty bad headache the rest of the day which I'm not sure if it was hormonal or due to preservatives in that meal (I'm sensitive to preservatives).
We did not go to the pool on this day, as my daughter requested not to. Seemed a little odd for someone who never stops moving and loves water, so I took it as her following her body cues and needing a rest day as well. Instead, we came home after school and she just played normally and enjoyed some tv time. I somehow did not meet my 10,000 steps on this day and I'm not sure why as it was a pretty typical day. However, I did get almost 9,000.
For dinner the rest of the family wanted corn dogs and french fries. I'm not a fan of that so I had a premade cobb salad from Target. It was so delicious and only 210 calories, I wish I would have gotten 2 or 3 of them for dinner. I had a tuna sandwich with it and finished up my gallon of water. I found the water to be challenging today as I was really craving a soda all afternoon and evening. I assume it's my body finally realizing it hasn't had any decent caffeine or sugar in days.
My youngest went to sleep very early this night, so she really must have been worn out. I, on the other hand, had a difficult time falling asleep. I ended up taking some melatonin and it caused me to have very light restless sleep so I won't be doing that again.
