I have a little more energy these days. I feel like I'm starting to heal quite a bit more. I'm able to do a little bit more and my mental health is much better. I am a lot kinder to myself these days and doing a lot more self care which of course helps a lot with recovery. Food is still a challenge, though, but it's something I'm working on. I am trying to make fitness more therapeutic again these days, though, as I was focusing more on calorie burn for a while, and was ending up making my ribs more inflamed. Losing a lot of weight for a while was nice, but not at the cost of my recovery. So I might want to put heavy shredding aside for a while. It was just taking too much of a toll on my body. Doing the CLA, thermogenic fat burner, and l-arginine right away after the Hydroxycut was probably too much and was the reason I had so much swelling in my muscles. I'm back down to 253 again but still quite sore and yesterday pushed a lot of carbs to try to get my energy back up. I tend to push really hard and have very little patience with myself and I really just need to give myself time to fully recover before I start pushing hard again no matter how much I want to just jump right back into things.
Eating High Quality Foods: I've been really hard on myself about my diet lately, too, which I don't really think has been helpful. I've done my best for the fact that I haven't had the energy to cook and realizing that negative self talk isn't helpful and generally backfires will help me to do better in the future. I'm going to focus more on what I've been doing right instead of what I've been doing wrong and be proud of the accomplishments I have made instead.
Accurately Measure & Track Food: I am getting back to tracking food. It is a helpful tool for me and I do prefer to plan meals and snacks. I also do prefer to measure my food rather than just eyeball it. So I'll be back to doing that today.
Drink at least 64 ounces of water: I am trying to hydrate more and also track my water. I think drinking more water will help with cravings and with the supplements I take I need more water.
Non-Scale Victory: My biggest nonscale victory lately is practicing more self care and kindness. I've come a long way with this especially from where I started out.
Fitness: Fitness is going really well. Doing more therapeutic fitness is helping a lot. Doing more functional fitness is really improving my mobility and flexibility and reducing swelling and bloat. I did some yoga this morning and that felt really good, at least what I could do until my ribs bothered me too much.
Sleep: Sleeping is fairly good. I'm getting on a better schedule at least and sleeping pretty well.
Quit Progress: Smoking is on a pretty average keel, which I am happy with.
Meditation: Still need to focus more on my mindfulness practice. I think that would be particularly helpful at this point.
Inflammation/Bloat/Weight Loss: Bloat and inflammation are down a fair bit at this point and I'm doing quite well with my weight and with everything here at this point.
Feeling pretty good and in a good mindset.
