Day 5: Feeling Good

Feeling a lot better today. I kind of had a bad week in general last week as far as not feeling well and eating poorly, not really getting much exercise either. I tried to focus on rest and recovery as much as I could last week and just had very little energy all around. I'm still focused a lot on recovery and self care, but I have higher energy moving into this week and a lot more ambition. I'm going to start planning meals again and work on slowly increasing intensity with exercise. I'm starting to get a little more active and be up and about more so that should help bloat and swelling start to go down as well.

Eating High Quality Foods: I'm really going to start focusing on higher quality foods. I haven't been making the best choices that I could be and I'm going to start changing that. I am going grocery shopping next week so I'll be getting some higher quality foods to bring into the house again, but in the meantime I'll make the best meals I can and do my best to eat a lot healthier.

Accurately Measure & Track Food: I am going to start planning and tracking my food again, as well as do better with measuring foods. I'm going to organize my Tupperware and my cupboards and fridges and just try to make over the kitchen again. Getting organized is really half the battle.

Drink at least 64 ounces of water: I'm doing pretty well with water, but I want to start tracking again as that helps me to drink more.

Non-Scale Victory: My biggest nonscale victory lately is that I have more energy and more drive to accomplish more. I'm starting to really get things done around the house now and find myself more occupied so that I'm not turning to food.

Fitness: Fitness is going better. I did tai chi this morning and my ribs are a lot less sore so it was much easier. I'm easing back into things and feel a lot more positive about exercise right now.

Sleep: Sleep is on a better track. I'm learning how to rest when I need to.

Quit Progress: I've cut back a lot on smoking since my smoking budget is a lot smaller right now.

Meditation: Going to get back into meditation today.

Inflammation/Bloat/Weight Loss: Super bloated right now.

Going to do my best to make it a good week.
