Tough week

Monday, May 10, 2021

It takes 2 to Skype. I didn’t initiate any conversations with my family last weekend to get Skype dates set, and nobody seemed to notice... that was kind of a bummer. Did talk to mom and dad for a couple of minutes yesterday to wish Happy Mother’s Day and tell them about my husband’s gift to me: One square foot of land in Glencoe Wood, Scotland. I am a land owner in Scotland, which officially makes me Lady Ashley. The question remains, with my doctorate of pharmacy degree, does that make me Doctor Lady Ashley, or Lady Doctor Ashley? (I think the latter makes the impression of a gynecologist, and I don’t want to send the wrong message 😂) I was the last in the house to know, so when the family greeted me in the evening after work as Lady Ashley, I replied with, “Greetings, peasants!” (Which I shall reserve for special occasions so as not to seek pretentious 🤪) I definitely feel my cycle coming on- mind feels jumbled, mountains feel too high, joints feel more achy (but that could be my chiropractor struggling with his torn shoulder and not digging in as far as he normally does.) I feel annoyed and annoying. Just one of those days, man. I kicked butt on my neighborhood walk today, at least... still went even though I had just had a few slices of pizza for dinner. Thought I might have to cut it short from feeling too heavy, but in the end I stopped at 2 miles because nature called 😂 Hubs went to work at a bar one night a week, and already loves it. Feels lonely at home without him ❤️

@gordon66 yes, some stores have more chairs than others, depending on volume of prescriptions and demand for vaccine in the area... it can get to be a pretty impressive lineup!

@lolabrug3 I have heard but have not been! I’m just on the border of St Louis County and Jefferson County! Technically in Fenton 😊

Wow. You've got a lot going on!!! Having to end your walk because of the need for a nature break is a real bummer. Do you work in a pharmacy giving COVID vaccines? On one of my trips to Walgreens, an aisle had a row of socially distanced chairs with occupants. I'm guessing everyone was waiting 15 minutes before they could leave the store. Take care and be safe!!!

P.S. Thanks for the kind birthday wishes!

It's only one night a week! Your blog is funny. Congratulations on acquiring land in Scotland, Lady Ashley! You said you live in MO. My parents are from there and all of my relatives. I have relatives in St. Joe, Smithville, Plattsburg and Gower. Heard of those places?
