Can't Stop Me Now!!!

Saturday, May 15, 2021

I can hear Freddie singing that!!!

This is June (name the breeder gave her). She and 2 other Hostas joined my gardens yesterday. "Hi, my name is Charie and I'm a hostaholic". Yes, I have a passion for them. Next weekend my bestie and I are heading out into southern Wisconsin on a Hosta Road trip. 3 Farms with stops between for a meal and ending the day at a winery. I'm looking forward to it. BUT....I digress. Today was weigh in, mine wasn't cool but to be fair there were a couple blow outs this week. I allowed my extreme frustration to turn to old non productive habits. Why, why why!!!!! So, I will dig deep to overcome this trigger and move forward this week to undo any damage. Geesh!

This popped up on my premium today. Love it when the messages are so clear.

I might have been born on the wrong planet but I do believe I like it better here than Mars.

emoticon Rain scheduled for here, but I need a good rain day to get some inside things under control. AND BAKE!!! I have enough rhubarb to make the first pie from this rhubarb plant.

Happy Saturday!

Very pretty Hosta. I see some people with them around here, but I think our heat is too much for them.

Hostas are very pretty and like shade. I have not had good luck with them, despite shady spots.
My husband weighs in with KG. and when he hasn't switched the scale back to pounds, I always get a brief euphoria looking at how little I weigh. But, I soon realize that I need to switch the scale back to pounds and I am quickly taken back to earth and reality. emoticon

I have two "Junes" that I have just planted into planters on my front porch, a shady area much of the day. They are already growing and enjoying their new spot. They are a small variety and I can take them into my unheated garage for the winter. Enjoy!!!!

Hostas are doing a nice good of beautifying the north side of my house. Enjoy your new additions! I wish we were going to get some rain. It's been a long dry week and there still is no rain in the forecast for the upcoming week. It's only May and we are already in a mild drought.
