Picture of my twinkle lights in my gazebo. I smelled skunk so it was a brief moment before I scurried Hossa (dog) into the house. Been there done that and I'm not convinced Hossa learned a lesson from the first encounter.
Yesterday was a chill...not the weather kind (Chicagoland almost hit a record high) but, the personal time out kind. I had breakfast and lunch on my deck, read magazines and hydrated as the heat rose. Being out in nature is so healing to the soul. Not to mention the lovely sights, sounds and smells help with a good night's sleep. I am sure my body was beyond happy to have this break in routine. I suspect there was no cortisol released. It might happen again today.
