The orange monster

They say a cat has nine lives, but how many names can it have?
One of our cats ... I don't like to say that because in my mind we have no cats, just one that came along and decided we were her owners, we feed her, groom her, she sleeps at my feet from about 5 am onwards, which is why I'm awake right now... maybe I'll fall back to sleep.
One cat attracted another, a rough looking, orange coloured male. He's been in plenty of cat fights as his ears are showing it. So his first name ... "Ruffy". Sometimes "Ruff-sti-fur", sometimes "Sir Ruff-sti-fur". Yesterday my wife said "Where is the orange monster?" I guess he can have about five more names.
Don't ask about the cat that lives in the garage with her kittens, that really bumped up the number of cats we don't have.We gave the mother a name, "Slinky", and rather than referring to the kittens by physical appearance, like the grey and white one with a dot of black on her left cheek, ... she is just "Dot", the other three are now Max, Gino and Pepper.
The orange monster is sleeping inside on a mat in front of the living room window. I'm not a cat person ... I am a dog person, which probably explains why we don't have any dogs.
