Yay! Finally some movement on the scale!

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Yesterday, for the second day in a row, I stayed within my calorie allocation, and exercised hard, as usual - I was frustrated at being a couple of pounds ABOVE my starting weight of 208 pounds.

Today, when I got to the gym and weighed myself, I had to step off (it's a manual scale) and back again, just in case there was some mistake. Nope, no mistake.

I'm finally at 206 pounds! Yay! And I dranks over 10 glasses of water yesterday, so it's definitely not just disappearing water weight.

Phew! I was beginning to think I'd never start moving in the right direction again - this has been a good reminder to me that a couple of days of getting off track can have large consequences.

Hopefully I'll continue in the right direction, even when I do wind up eating out - this experience may have taught me to actually evaluate my options rather than just ordering my "normal" meals. :)

Just as this is a reminder of what a few days "off" can do... also take it as an incredible lesson on what a few days "on" can do! Your hard work and disciplined eating the past few days really did pay off and that's something to be proud of :) As long as you keep those things in mind, even when you slip, it will be that much easier to get back up. Keep up the awesome work!

I can feel for you I have had my first week on spark the scale went up instead of down. Its very frustrating. I still have weeks like that even exercsing and eating right. Don't give up, I was told by my TOPs leader if you don't see a loss this week and y ou've been working hard you will the following week - so keep it up. And I did.

Congrats on 206 your moving and thats wonderful. Remember this is all new and you need to take it slow. Great going!
