Good morning everyone have been out of town for a few days. Eating is a challenge. Did the best I could. Hope to exercise when I get home from work today.

"When you have exhausted all possibilities, remember this — you haven't."

Good morning. I'm worn out, but see a light. Wal-mart computer must have had a hiccup. I have 3 days off this week and the computer gave me 3 days in a row, Wed, Thru, Fri, I had asked for Sat off to take Beka to the plane and when the new schedule came out I had Sun off. So some how Wal-Mart gave me 5 days in a row off. Ok I then I work 6 days, but I see a vacation even if Wal-Mart doesn't have those things.

House work and things like that burn calories and heavy house work like moving things burn a lot of calories. I could never tell how you could figure them even with the SP tracker, so I only track intentional exercise. I give myself a pat on the back and count it as extra exercise.

Greetings at the end of nice weekend. Just spent 3 hours in Urgent Care with DH. He isn't feeling well at all and when I took his temp and it was over 104 I said it was time to see what was going on. Turns out to be bronchitis but not moved to phenomia so he is on 5days of antibiotics. At least back home with me and not overnight in hospital.

I found a link on Sparks to train for a virtual 5k. You train and set the week that you want to walk/run it. So you are running against others on the sight but mostly against yourself. I think this is such a good idea. I would never run one for real (going to be 69 in July) and there are no races close or free so this seems perfect for me. I set a race date for mid July - 5weeks from now. I walked the route today and it took me 71 minutes. Whatever time I can shave off that in the next 5 weeks will be a plus. emoticon

Quick check in to say HI! I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend and staying on their programs.

How do you figure out how many calories you burn doing housework? Or non-traditional exercise - like helping to mend a fence?

Hugs to all emoticon

I could sure use a cool rainy day today, it will be in the 90's today, where did spring go?

Linda emoticon sounds like you did good at the parties

Carol, I wear my pedometer every day even on rest days. I like to know how mandy steps I take. Did 7800 yesterday, because it was half a rest day. I had to go to the farmer's market, just love them.

Kchadler emoticon on the weight loss

Karen, glad you had a good day at the market. I go even when it rains and am glad to see vendors there and very thankful

My hubby's son and grandkids are coming today, I am so looking forward to seeing the little ones.

Good morning, listening to the rain, Freyja is sitting by the cat door looking out. She loves to sit on the porch in the morning and wants me to make the rain go away so she can. We need the rain, but if it would stop blowing she could still sit on the porch. I agree we don't need the driving blowing rain. We need a nice steady rain, but any rain will be appreciated.

Welcome to all new team members and prayers and blessings to all the caregivers here. I know how difficult but blessed it can be to care for parents or grandchildren. For awhile I was sandwiched between both. We were raising a grandson when my dad decided he didn't 't like assisted living and came to live with us. As I have shared before "We plan .......God laughs." emoticon

I have not lost weight this month, on the contrary, I have gained back almost to where I started Sparks - but not to the first of the year. I am still down 6# from the January weight. New month, new commitment. I count on this sight to help me stay on track. emoticon

Lady Carol, my son gave me a fitbit one for Mothers day. I love it! It wasn't for my sore foot I would be doing over 10,000 steps a day. I have it on me all the time.

We finally had to turn our air on up here in Prescott. It is 92 today emoticon emoticon emoticon Quite a change from the 80's we have had.

Linda, (Turtle) take care of that knee. We don't want you to be laid up.

Sounds like you are doing great with your Farmers Market Karen. Sure do wish I were close to you. I love the fresh fruits and vegies.

Have a great day everyone.

Welcome LDION -

Congrats KCHANDLER on the pound and the inches lost. emoticon It will work!

Went to the farmers' market this morning as a vendor. As we were going, it was raining and blowing - thought we were nuts. It turned out to be a good day with some sales and nice visits with old customers.

I find it difficult to leave early in the morning to attend markets, be offered food from friendly people while away, busy, busy, busy, and then come home and try to track and exercise. I have not done so well at that this week and somehow need to figure it out. I need a kick in the hind end, I think.

I think a pedometer is a good idea. I used to have one and can't find it now. Some days I seem to walk a lot from this place to that, etc......then other days I might be doing bookwork or simply cleaning the kitchen and there is not so much moving around. I think it would be good to chart that activity.

Hope all of you are having a great day - Until later
Karen

Hello all,

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Pretty hot here in wild and wonderful WV. Not complaining tho because just a few days ago there was frost at night.

I"m getting all squared away with Biggest Loser Challenges and guess my ped is going to be getting a good workout. Hope this old body doesn't go into shock.

Hello to newbies. Bet any of you that are teachers or are involved in school systems are glad for the summer break. It is a time for us to think of vacations. We are taking some short trips ourselves.

Going out to dinner tonight with friends to a German restaurant. We were stationed in Berlin, Germany, and love their food. Brings back lots of good memories. We spent the day finishing up planting flowers and getting porch ready. Lots of family coming for our 4th of July fireworks this year.

Take care and enjoy the change of seasons and the hope that brings. Any other walkers out there wearing pedometers?

Peace always,
Lady Carol

Welcome LDion2005! Please take every care with your eyes, no matter what else is going on. My Mom had 5 retina detachments, only one when there was laser surgery. All were successful outcomes, but I grew up knowing she could be blind at any time. Vision is a precious thing.

Today I did my "base measurements". I sew , so I had some old (2/12) measurements to compare. I can certainly tell I've been losing weight and exercising! Yea!!! emoticon

Welcome Linda, Sorry about your detached retina. It's hard to notice what needs done around the house but your health is the most important. My mom had her knees replaced and needed someone hovering for a couple Weeks. Sounds like your husband is practicing.

House cleaning today. On call but everyone seems good so far. Was out visiting my bird feeders and plants. Makes me feel good. Have a great day.

Mary Alice take care of yourself you have been doing so good taking care of Beka, so glad her step mom is concerned about her school work that is so important.

Karen I love Farmer's Markets in fact going to one today to get a cabbage and visit the salsa guy. I got the best green salsa that's base was cabbage. I am also going to pick up some cheese. This time of year we have markets everyday in different parts of town that are close enough for me to walk to. This is the time of year I lose weight easiest because I love fresh fruit and vegetables.

I hurt my knee again yesterday doing exercise in line at the drug store, going to take tomorrow off from exercise, can't today need to walk to the Farmer's Market, craving salsa.

Good morning. I was scheduled to work till 10P last night. At 9:50 a manager asked what time I closed customer service. I told her 11, but I got off at 10 so was thinking about closing early. She said yes close, but turn the totes, empty the trash, sweep and clean up before you go, there is no one to close tonight. My manager had gone home so at 10:55 I told the new manager I was going to take my claims to the back, take my last 15 min and go home. He asked what time I was suppose to go home. I told him 10, he checked his watch and said "you know you won't make it." I'm worn out and start all over at 11A today.

Hi all, the Internet refused to connect again this morning. I wandered into the world of computer and tried to troubleshoot the problem myself. Something worked. Did I understand what I did? Absolutely not! But, hey, I'm available if anyone else needs some help! emoticon I can mess it up as easily as the next person.

My dad has a deep brain implant that keeps him from shaking. A wire has become disconnected and the battery was shooting terrible shocks through his arms down into his fingers. An EMT turned the battery off. Things are progressing. I'll be going with my folks to the brain surgeon in Omaha who put the implant in.

I did my Joel Harper upper body today. I stand there doing his exercises thinking it is so easy and all of a sudden I break out in sweat and the muscles start talking to me. It is wonderful stretching and has helped my back a lot already. I may walk with Leslie this afternoon or I may just take the rest of the day off. It is rainy, cold and windy here today. A good book is calling me.

I'm on a low carb - high protein diet - it's low glycemic. All your veggies would be wonderful to have, Karen! If I lived closer, I come and get some. emoticon

"The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will."
– Vincent Lombardi

Good morning, I'm a little late signing in. I washed Mutt and took him for a walk to dry off. I wanted to get it done before it got hot. It is muggy and Mutt may look like a tan dog, but he has black skin and feels the heat like a black dog. Mutt doesn't like water, and tolerates a bath because he knows it means a good message and long walk.

Beka's stepmom asked for anything that would help Beka get in the right classes in CA. She said if she just waited till she enrolled Beka in school they would put her in all average classes till the school here sent her paper work and that could take months to sort out, putting her behind her classmates. I went by her school. They said Beka's placement was based on her scores on the 7th grade assessment test, her grade point average, and teacher recommendation. They said that I could get her test scores, and a paper saying what they meant with her final report card. I couldn't get a copy of the teacher recommendations. I think I'm getting the most important 2. I already know that her test scores in 1 or more areas were high enough that she placed in AP in those areas without looking at grade point average or teacher recommendations.

Today is a cool, windy day (45-50 mph) and I am feeling a little frumpy. I think I will start cleaning my house - It is a project that needs done and it always makes me feel better when it is clean & pretty. It will also keep me inside out of the wind. emoticon

We go to our first farmers' market tomorrow - We are taking beautiful heads of Romaine and Butter Crunch lettuce along with spinach and cucumbers. It makes a wonderful salad for your eating plan...............Everyone should check out the local farmers' markets in your area. It is a wonderful way to get a good supply of 'fresh' veggies.

May was only a 2 pound loss for me and I am a little frustrated at that as well - BUT it was a loss and not a gain. emoticon It is just that I will not reach my goal by the end of the year unless I step up the pace. emoticon

Hope you feel better soon, Callie. You need to stay inside at 102 - Whew, that is too hot!!! This is someone from the north country talking emoticon

Hope everyone has a great weekend emoticon

The computer, well I should say the Internet, was on the blink today. We called tech support when hubby got home. (Tech support is our son emoticon - he's a computer programer.) The poor guy was about brain dead, but he was willing to try and help us from 200 miles away. I don't know what worked, but something did so here I am! emoticon I was about wild without getting on SP today. I get lost without it ... I should have tracked those calories on paper, but I think I'm okay. Not perfect emoticon but okay.

I send out a emoticon to the new gals too ... glad you are here, and a emoticon back to Calli! Glad you had a good time.

Babysmama, I'd love to share the rain with you! I know what it is to be bone dry!

I walked 2 miles outside and did Joel's DVD lower body before that.

I found out my dad's appointment is Tuesday afternoon, so I'll be gone from here next week. I'll head for Nebraska on Sunday afternoon, and then my folks and I will head for Omaha on Monday. Thanks for the prayers. They are appreciated. I'll be tracking on paper next week for sure.

Welcome Donna & Sugar Baby and anyone else I have missed. This is a good site with lots going on. It has been a good place for me and I hope you feel the same.

We have had rain almost every day this week. We have been in a drought for over a year so it is certainly a blessing. I need a little dry weather so I can mow the lawn and get some more garden planted. My DH and I own a vegetable business and we are so far behind in our planting. We had blizzards in April and cold rainy weather in May so there isn't much we can do about it except be grateful for the moisture and the days the good Lord has blessed us.

As the season changes and we get more involved in the gardens, I find it more difficult to stay on track. I just don't allow myself the time needed to chart my food and to take a walk which I hope to change. I certainly am a work in progress. Good news is I haven't added any weight - Bad news is I seem to have stalled. I will keep pushing.

Have a blessed day everyone.

Enough is enough! I have started walking again...aiming for 45 min 4 days a week and watching my caloric intake.currently am staying with my daughter and son in law for the next few months as she has a high risk pregnancy.my dear husband is 2,000 miles away at our home in Az.

Good morning everyone.
Got some flowers planted and are getting some rain so hope it helps everything grow. For those who don't consider their yard work exercise I put on my exercise monitor before I began to clear a grassy area. Stopped after 2 hours and burned 700 calories. Was really surprised.
Spent yesterday with my neice and 14 month old great-nephew. It was so much fun. That kid never walks - he runs constantly. He has a killer smile!!!

So need to exercise tonight and keep eating healthy. One day at a time. emoticon

Good morning everybody. Hope you are all thinking positive and ready to have a great Spark day! I worked my hiney off yesterday. We dug up a new flower bed and if anyone knows about the ground here in Missouri they know it's all rock! Who needs exercise when your doing that for 2 hours! DH almost lost the cart filled with dirt/rock in the lake.....men, will they ever listen and do things the right way? LOL.....there is a hole down by the seawall where I wanted the junk dirt because I filled in the bed with good topsoil. He overfilled the cart and it got away from him (going downhill). It was a dangerous situation but I couldn't help laughing at him...it was comical to see a 74 year old running down the hill trying to catch that cart! It hit a dip and dumped all the dirt...almost exactly where I wanted it! It was the highlight to a hard days work!

Dakota, keeping your Dad in my thoughts and prayers..Have a good one everybody.

You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That's the only thing you should be trying to control.

Good morning. Another hot one, Mutt and I will have to leave for our walk soon. I've been taking it easy. but walking is relaxing.

Glad for all the positive vibes you are all posting. Had a "bad" breakfast/lunch. I had an early dentist appt for root scraping so I just grabbed a cup of coffee. After 2 hours of the procedure and with half of my mouth totally numb but still painful and an hour from home, I stopped at McDonald's for a strawberry shake. Since I couldn't eat anything else and just sipped tea all afternoon it didn't blow calories, but sure doesn't fit in healthy choices. emoticon
I am meeting my goal of exercise minutes for May. emoticon But I have not lost any weight for this month. Need to reevaluate and try harder next month.

I love reading these threads because no one let's the bad days keep them down for long! emoticon I haven't been particularly motivated lately. Last year when I was "go, go, go" and nothing could get me off track, and then life happened and I fell into this state of "half-hearted" Sparking emoticon On the positive side, I have managed to keep off the weight I lost last year emoticon so, I must have learned some really good lessons to be able to do that. I know that one morning - very soon - I will get up and my motivation will have kicked into full-swing again. Until then, I'll just keep doing the best I can. Knowing that I have this great Spark support network is like an anchor in the stormy waters for me. emoticon

Hello all you beautiful gals ... we did get rain again last night so that makes a little over 4 inches in the past two weeks. Wonderful! emoticon

My dad went in to get checked out and they found a wire lose with his deep brain implant, so I will be going to Omaha with them sometime soon. Mom said the doctor he went to was so very nice and gentle. So very thankful! emoticon

I did 23 minutes of upper body with Joel Harper this morning ... it really is a workout. I don't think I'm doing all that much but then the sweat starts rolling and the muscles start responding with some pain. I love the way he stretches the muscles often. Feels so good. Then I did a 2-mile/30 min. DVD with Leslie. That's enough for today! Calories are perfect today.

Off to plant some tomatoes, green beans, carrots and a little broccoli. Very small garden to what we normally plant. My sister-in-law and I both feel like pulling back this year.

emoticon on that weight loss, Burnin-upturtle!

Well, we are back at it today. I have been very good about my food, exercise and water so far today so I think I am out of my slump.

We have had 2 inches of rain over the last 36 hours. It was welcome.

Everyone keep hanging in there - emoticon

I too have not been very good at doing my strength training. Today I worked out with my weights while riding my exercise bike. I did it for 30 minutes I can feel my muscles screaming I know I am doing some thing.
The scale went down this week. emoticon

Good morning!

Was in a bit of a slump with the extended weekend (& of course the scale confirmed it), but a walk last evening is getting me moving again this morning. Weekends seem so hard to get through.

There are some DVD's out there where you use lighter weights and do a cardo workout then they change to heavier weights to do strength right away. You really feel it. Since I did one of those DVDs I have done cardo then gone right to me weights. Your already warm, your heart is already pumping.

Good morning everyone. Hoping those feeling puny yesterday are better today! I had a great Spark day yesterday, good choices, good exercise!

I picked up a set of 5 lb. weights last night in hopes that I will learn to enjoy strength training as much as I enjoy cardio! I don't know that a $12 set of weights is going to do that but it's a start! I did 40 minutes with a few video's of Coach Nicoles. I know we must get that strength training in and that it helps build muscle that will in turn burn more calories. My issue is that I just don't feel like I'm doing anything! During cardio that heart gets pumping and I start really sweating....you feel like your DOING something! Strength training? Meh.....doesn't do anything for me! LOL That is my new goal, to get GOOD at it and to like doing it. I'll have to visualize myself getting stronger and see that new muscle mass burning those calories up!

Good morning. I wasn't going to do anything yesterday. I wanted my body to recover. Well I didn't do any intentional exercise and did sit around most of the day, but did move around and get a lot do. I'm feeling a lot better today. Mutt says he really really needs a walk today.

Nothing lost this month. The fact, I stayed the same, I see.. it as a victory because I am doing a kind of maintenance thing even though I am not at goal weight yet.

Sorry to hear that some of you are not feeling well......bless you.

Jenalle, how sweet of you to say, just how much, you will miss your grandson.

Sorry to hear some are under the weather. Busy day getting grandson ready for his move 1,000 miles away. Was able to clean out some duplicates that I had and help him in the process. Got my steps in with just that activity. He will be here for only 1+ day more. I know that I will miss him (but he has been in navy for 4 years) but I am looking forward to days returning to normal schedule.

Prayers for all those in the line of storms and those suffering with issues beyond their control. emoticon

Wow - after days of getting little puny 2 point spins I hit big tonight with the Bonus Wheel - 500 Spark Goodie points emoticon I've been totally lacking in motivation lately - which I think is largely because I'm too busy at work taking care of everyone else and their problems. Might sound silly but this big spin really perked me up. I guess I'm still a kid at heart emoticon

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day. Mine was quiet - just myself and DH - but sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered!

Hello! After a wonderful holiday weekend, I am down with a virus. My throat is so sore, I feel like I have tonsillitis! Just a raw throat and a little fever and I feel like I've been hit with a Mac truck. So, we are bringing food in tonight. A tuna salad sandwich and a really big icy berry smoothie. Too many calories, but I don't care today.

Did this group use to be called "50+ members with 50 to lose"? I seem to remember some of the members and hearing about the troubles with Beka's mom. I dropped out of that group because I had less then 50 pounds to lose.

I did not get a brace for my knee, but feel I don't need it. I took a rest from exercising over the weekend and am back in full swing today. I walked for 60 minutes and rode my exercise bike for 30 minutes. This afternoon I needed a pain pill so I took one and iced my knee. This evening I will put heat on it for 15 minutes.

Hi Everyone,
I am hoping to get back on track today after the long lazy weekend. I ate too much of my mom's wonderful potato salad yesterday. Not sorry about that but I am a little ticked at myself for eating that chocolate cupcake!
So today I got on the treadmill for 45 minutes and I am carefully tracking my food. I am getting close to my goal weight now and I don't want to lose sight of that. emoticon

We had 2 inches of rain last night and hail. The hail was small. Small is the kind that does the most damage to crops. My hubby was pretty worried, but this morning he found out it didn't hail where the winter wheat field was. Thank you, God! There are so many times when I'm just not smart enough to know how to pray so I always ask Him to give us His best. He always has. Thankful for the rain. The world this morning is all bright and clean. The windows are open so the fresh breezes can blow in and I can hear the birdsong. Lovely! emoticon It's supposed to rain again tonight. I hope so.

I did Joel Harper's DVD Firming after 50 yesterday and today. I did upper body yesterday and lower today. I can see it has helped stretch out my back so it doesn't hurt like it has been. The chiropractor said it isn't out just tight. Exercise is amazing for all the good it does the body! I walked 2 miles outside after the DVD.

I'm trying to eat as well as I know for a hypothyroid diet. I know I need lots of protein and fiber and very low carbs and no sugar. It isn't hard to keep the calories in check, and I don't get hungry even with hubby's wild schedule for meals. I can't wait to get my book with the diet spelled out. I also ordered the Atkin's and the South Beach diet books as Mary Shomon suggested those diets too. If I never lose this weight, I've decided that I'm okay with that. If I can tone up and lose some inches, I'll be happy. I'm going to try, but I refuse to get discouraged or depressed if I don't. emoticon

Have a beautiful day emoticon !

Thomas Treadwell Stone,

Good morning, I spent most of Sun i bed with a migraine and got another one at work last night. DH thinks it is stressor lack there of. All this stuff with Beka has me stressed and with her at her uncles for the weekend I relaxed and it all hit me. I'm still glad she gat a weekend with her uncle and cousins doing things she can't do here. Ride 4 wheeler, BBQ, and swim.

Happy Memorial Day to our US teamies. I , too, share deep appreciation for our past and present veterans. We are retired Air Force and spent 20 years seeing the world and experiencing what freedom is all about. I loved it. It was a wonderful way to raise kids. My heart goes out to the military families of today who are not able to travel and live with their soldiers. The challenges they must meet on their own from financial to everything else in life is overwhelming. We should start an 'adopt-a-military family' program. Ummmm, need to check...maybe there is one.

This is day 2 of my return to SP. My ped has been dusted off and my body is in a state of shock after walking 2 days in a row. I am ashamed at how poor my stamina is. It was only a few months ago that I was walking 3 miles. It just shows you what stress can do to a person, especially someone 'not in their prime.' I don't like to say the words that describe us that begin with an 'e and an o.' LOL.

Babysmamma, I see you are walking, too. Maybe we should have a little mini steps challenge. Any other walkers out there?

We spent our day at an iris farm in our area. There are thousands of iris, about half a football field. It is spectacular. I have pics of it and my personal iris patch. I will upload some to my Spark page.

Kathryn, any luck with finding a brace? Be careful walking on that knee.

Count me in the thyroid group....lol. Hypo here now, but was super hyperthyroid until the dr radiated my thyroid. Goodness, but a messed up thyroid influences every cell of our bodies.

Dakota, I'm joining you in giving God total control of my days. I have done a miserable job trying to be in control the last few months and am giving it up. Feels better already. Look, here is where He led me. Walked 2 days. He is already doing a better job than me.

Kattree, see you lurking there and very glad you said hello. I am new here as well. I agree, everyone is terrific. Tell us about yourself.

Thanks, everyone, for the warm welcome back and comments on my Spark page.

I will check out your blogs and spark pages. Come visit mine and say hello. It will take me a bit to catch up. I signed up for the BLC challenges. Anyone else? I'm off to kiss a vet!!!!!

Decided I would bake some bread to take to a friend who is a WWII veteran as a thank you. I don't know what happened, but it didn't raise very well so won't be doing that. Rats!

Got out and walked 2 miles and did a Joel Harper DVD. Whew! What a workout.

Doing laundry today and hanging it outside. It's breezy and in the 70s. It is supposed to rain tonight. Hope so.

Remembering those who have served as well as those who have gone before. Have rested from busy weekend - now taking an easy day with picking up, laundry, etc. Will get in a little road steps. Best to you all.

Happy Memorial Day - emoticon

Misty and Rainy here in W. Neb. We are grateful for any moisture so "no worries".

No weight loss this week - One morning this week when I got on the scale I saw the elusive one more pound lost - BUT not today, my weigh in day.

Have a Blessed Day

Karen

Happy Memorial Day! Thanks to all those who sacrifice for our country.
Once it stops raining today want to gets some weeds out of our rock wall area and plant some flowers, irises and tiger lilies. Have a great day everyone.

Happy Memorial Day and a huge thank you to all who have served and are serving now. We had some special moments in church yesterday honoring them all.....

Our Lion's Club Auction raised over $1,000 on Saturday. We are so happy about that as it was the first time we have held an Auction event. We now have the money to purchase new uniforms for our town's kids Baseball Team! There is money left over to also purchase a new pair of glasses for a child that needs them and an elderly woman that broke hers. As Lion's sight and hearing are our 2 projects we ALL work on on an international basis....we have a very small club so having this kind of money to work with is wonderful!

And thank you to those that have been praying for my little grandson Zeke. Zeke was tested for Cystic Fibrosis and sadly he does have CF. It just means we now know and have a direction to move in.

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

The soldier’s dust that moulders now, amid the common clay,
Will give a voice to every flower, that gems your daily way
And every singing rill that winds in beauty to the sea —
And every breeze that sweeps your hills, will sing of Liberty.

Good Morning. Hope everyone is going to have a good holiday.

Remember food plays a big part in todays celebration. DD is an RN, she says that if we we cook by kosher rules there would be a lot less food poison. If you don't know kosher rules kosher means clean. Keep food at the right temperature, keep meat and veggies separate, when you take meat off a plate, clean it or get a clean plate before you put the cooked meat on it.

Keep hydrated and have fun.

Objects in the mirror will get thinner than they now appear

Counting blessings after a wonderful weekend with family. everyone left about 1:30 and I fell asleep in recliner. We had been by campfire both Fri & Sat nights until past midnight then up early with 5 year olds who were ready to go, go, go. Lots of cards, games, 4-wheeler rides and just hanging out together. It was such a gift.

Our Sunday has been pretty laid back - church, lunch with church friends, visit with some neighbors, coffee on the back porch listening to the birds and enjoying the weather, a leisurely walk down the road with DH, and I think I will take a nap this afternoon. -- I love these kind of days. emoticon

I used to get up & go to church on Sundays without eating breakfast. Then when we had coffee at church I would find myself thinking two cookies or even three was good because I was hungry. I have started making myself a green shake on Sunday morning and then I can enjoy a cup of coffee with maybe a small cookie and I am satisfied enjoying the company of friends without making food the issue. Eventually, I will get wise to these tricks.

Have a great Memorial Weekend - emoticon
