I read labels for sat fat and sugar. Most of the sugar I get is from natural foods (ie fruit)which has fiber to help keep blood sugar from spiking.

I'll keep an eye out!

And low or non-fat items are really big culprits for hidden sugar and sodium. I'd rather eat less of the full fat item than chomp down on all that sugar.

I notice there was 5 grams of sugar in my cereal this morning but will try to watch it closer the rest of the day.

I did indulge in peanut butter today. But it was the first time since I started SP on May 20. I will do better tomorrow.

Happy Thursday to you!

Your challenge today is to WATCH YOUR SATURATED FATS & SUGARS! These little gems hide in tons of foods that we enjoy. The best way to combat these critters is to READ LABELS. Foods that cleverly hide fat and/or sugar are:

*Breakfast cereals
*Baked goods
*Cheese & dairy items
*Peanut Butter
*Lunch meat
*Crackers, chips, and cookies

If you feel like munching on the above items, go for the lowfat or lighter versions. NOTE: Some food manufacturers add extra sugar or salt to compensate for the lower fat. READ YOUR LABELS!!!
