I have FB, but don't post anything. I have a handful of friends who use the FB chat instead of texting. So we communicate via chat. I also have Instagram... which I love. I have hand selected who I follow. So, just the things that make me smile appear on the screen. I love it!

I'm just chiming into this conversation. I am so glad the elections are over in the US as they were bombarding us through on line media, radio, TV, mailing, on our cars as well as calls. Never like the negative campaigning and prefer to know what you're going to do for us. I am a registered voter and believe in the right to vote.

Not a drinker and pull myself away from the TV by listening and reading books, as well as calling friends and family to stay connected.

AACK! I agree with both of you! I have had to log off of Facebook as it is so negative. People are just being icky to each other!

I wear a face mask to protect you from me. I work in an essential business, and work with families who are COVID positive. (Funeral business.) I want to protect not only myself, but protect you from anything I may carry. If the whole face mask thing doesn't do anything to help, it at least doesn't harm. I truly believe they help. So far so good health wise here!

I am lucky our politics is way DIFFERENT to in US. Just cant understand why a common sense thing like wearing masks makes you for or against somebody. Have visitors now staying all are negative.

We are able to move around a little down here.
Only one person in the hair salon at the time.
(Had to get my hair cut last week. It was getting hot).
Grocery store is open and the Mexican place is taking dinner reservations.
Library still isn't open yet.
Thank goodness for Thiftbooks.com Will have plenty to read til they open.
I have also been cooking. Found a sugar free peanut butter cookie recipe.
It turned out great. (It is also low carb) No flour in there.
Have a good night guys. Holly

I've done both-and isolating at home after awhile was getting kinda hard--as couldn't go anywhere (hubby did grocery shopping after work)--miss being with my parents and can only see them when they're sitting on the outdoor porch and I'm standing a safe distance away in the yard--but it's all for the best as they and I are high-risk due to medical conditions.

I've now gone back to work-and even after a few weeks while wearing a mask and gloves, customers are still a bit too close as I have direct face-to-face contact with alot of people in a day. Some wear masks, but alot do not. And our State is still reporting high positive cases and deaths every day.

It's almost like both in their certain ways are starting to tire me out. But trying to make the best of a bad situation to keep all safe and healthy.

The holiday's have derailed all my plans...future, financial, health! Yes, I'm blaming it on the holidays! I'm ready to get back on track. It was fun while it lasted, but since mid November, I have just been a free spirit in all aspects of life. It's time to get back to routine!

I'm in the habit of drinking a full glass of warm water upon waking to help with re-hydrating after 8 hours of sleep--and then moving onto my morning exercises. Just part of my normal day.

I like doing so many things that I'm too busy in my retired days. Reading is always tops, but also always have a craft going, & I seem to always have something I bot to put together. current is a new vacuum that I did all but one part I can't see where it goes. Cooking is an everyday pain or pleasure. Making bread is my recent joy. always have a jigsaw picture puzzle going. Gardening is sort of seasonal, but I just ordered some paperwhite & amaryllis bulbs, & I have some herb seed to plant indoors. Keep a daily 10 year journal. play the piano; play computer solitaire while I watch TV.

Aint life grand?

Yes-and I have already changed my diet big time. With dry eye syndrome (insufficient tears and lack of oil being produced to protect the eyes with each blink---and inflammation that occurs mainly under my top eyelids, making it feel like there are pieces of gravel in the eyes) along with Lupus, etc., I have changed over to more of a plant-based diet and, most of all, cut out processed sugar the best way I can! As processed sugar totally sets off my eyes like you can't imagine!

So, that would be a huge YES for me-I've changed and will keep on my food plan, 96 ounces of water intake, spinach/kale smoothies everyday (added flaxseed, hemp powder, turmeric, etc.), getting in natural sugars from organic produce, etc.,taking care of gut health, avoiding preservatives, and maintaining a higher rate of physical activities all to help keep my eyesight from further damage, beat inflammation the only way I can (as Lupus loves to hit at any given time).

I also do yoga, pilates, and other exercises, along with having fitness equipment at home that I use. When the weather isn't the best, doesn't matter too much, as my dogs love and need their walks-so bundle up and off we go! And when the temps are too frigid for anyone to be out, my dogs do "their thing" outside and back in the house they run!!

I thought that I should drink 8 glasses water through the day, rather than 3 glasses in the morning & again in afternoon etc, to be consistent throughout the day so I do not feel dehydrated. So September 1 2,3 4 5 . emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

We could make it a Team Challenge to do the 30 minutes of exercise in a day--and it could be whatever sort of exercises that you'd like to do. Then we could show the emoticon that we did it or even add up the 30 minutes-like we do for the water challenge-adding the 30 to the person who posted before you and watching the minutes add up as we go along. Kinda hard to explain in words, but maybe something on that order would work well.
