I've always kept my ring on. No need to remove because of working on the machines.

I take all jewelry off at the gym EXCEPT for my engagement ring & diamond studs. I'll leave the other stuff in my purse, and throw it under my car seat.

Some ST exercises my ring will get in the way, but then I just turn it so the band is facing the front. My ring is pretty sturdy though, with a 6-clasp setting.

I love wearing my ring to the gym; this way, everyone knows your taken!

Congrats on the engagement!

I leave mine at home when going to the gym because I don't feel comfortable working out with it. Especially when doing strength training. Of course, my gym is in my apartment complex, so there's no doubt that I'll go home, shower, and put it right back on.

It depends on your comfort level. I don't sleep with any jewelry on and I don't go to the gym with it on, other than that, I'm a jewelry toting queen!

I guess I must be a bit different (btw I'm married already) because I only put mine on when I leave the house. I'm suprised so many people say the never take it off. In terms of working out, I never wore my engagement ring to the gym, just didn't want it to be in the way. I had a little plastic container I would put my ring and all my other jewelry in and then I would leave it in my pocketbook in trunk of my car...definitely did not trust leaving it in the gym locker. Now I sometimes wear just my band.

I put mine in my purse in leave it in my car under the seat. I can't work out with it on, my hands swell up and it's uncomfortable. The swelling goes back down by the time I've changed my clothes and get back in the car. I take it off at night and when I shower because my hair gets stuck in it and rips out.

first of all, congrats on the engagement! i have been engaged for about 2.5 months, and i NEVER take off my ring. i used to worry about it at the gym, but if your ring fits properly it shouldn't slip off regardless of your activity. depending on the metal in your ring (and especially the setting) you may want to turn it around during some activities if you are worried about knocking it. i never have, though.

i know it is weird to have a ring on your finger now, but you will get used to it! it took me about 1-1.5 months before i got used to having a ring on that finger all the time. now, it's completely normal and i don't worry about it as much. just enjoy looking at it - it can be a nice motivation to work hard at the gym!

I leave mine on: I'm not comfortable taking it off anywhere but over the jewelry box.

I run on the treadmill and don't want to knock the setting against the handrails. So, I turn it around: I keep the setting and diamond sideways so that my middle finger kinda cradles the head while I'm running.

If I'm doing weights, I just leave it the way it on. I used a personal trainer a year ago to lose weight for a friend's wedding in Jamaica: I ended up gaining 20 lbs of muscle/mass and hated how I looked. I've given up the heavy weights in an attempt to lose mass so wearing the ring at the gym isn't a problem.

Congratulations on the engagement!!! I am married now, but sometimes I answer the questions on here ;)

I always left mine on. God forbid someone were to go into my locker and steal it! Especially now that I have a band full of diamonds as well. I have four carots on my finger! LOL!

If you are really that uncomfortable, I suggest leaving it at home. OR possibly putting it around a chain on your neck while you work out. I always keep my thumb against the band, so that it's pushing into my hand whenever I am in a place that I feel insecure about wearing my rings. That includes the gym.

I have a small jewelry case and put all my jewelry in there when I work out and leave it in my locker with the rest of my belongings. Having it in the same place every time helps me not forget it or panic trying to find it.

*waves hello*

Very happy to be a part of this team as I just got engaged! *big beaming smile*

As today will be my very first day back to the gym as an engaged woman... I'm finding myself with a tough internal debate and would love to hear what others do!

The gym....

WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOUR RING?!?!?!

I'm so loathe to take it off (aside from the aestethics of loving to look at my hand now, I also am not "used" to it, and would DREAD to think of doing that "put it to the side to be safe then forgetting where I put it or such") I'm also really against leaving it in my car or the locker... and I'm kinda not liking to leave it at home....

But then ... what???

Do you WEAR it? Or.... I don't know?

What do you do with your engagement rings regarding the gym?!?!?

Thanks for any input, it's appreciated!!! :)
