Ohhh thanks for the link! I didn't see it in time for Mother's day but I can always get for another day. I've seen Minnetonka brands in stores but they are usually made with rubber soles (which defeats the point of grounding...). And yep, free shipping for Father's Day (which I'm sure they could care less if "Father" ordered mocs for Mother.... )!!

emoticon

(later) I'm back... how adorable - HELLO KITTY mocs!! who'd 've thought!?

I live on the city but very close to a well known park with plenty of greenery. I actually like walking especially during this season. Thanks for posting!

I should do more earthing and have a couple pairs of leather shoes made for me, no rubber or synthetic parts...but the ground is a bit too wet for me. I've walked on the concrete with them but after awhile the pain gets to my hips. I've heard there is a family in Oklahoma who makes moccasins but don't know where they are or how to order.

We live out in the country about 4 1/2 miles from town. There is timber behind us and across the road. My golden retriever Abbey, and I love to go for walks. This past weekend my granddaughter stayed and yesterday she begged to take the dogs for a walk. It was cold and windy but she was persistent. So we bundled up and off we went. We ended up having a lovely time and the dogs were pooped which was good!

KDGIRL - I'm the same. If it would stay in the upper 70s to lower 80s I would be happy. LOL

NIGHTSKYSTAR - I love her name... Lucyfur.

Tika..i live in the Adirondacks of NY. its not at all unusual for us to get a foot of snow in a storm, or to have 4-5 feet on the ground. i love snow the most..but even i cant wade through that. i have snowshoes, but Lucyfur does not..and she weighs 140 pounds. so....

and KD..shes fine. she got up yesterday morning happy and rarin to go...i am sure she just ate something in the barnyard..pretty sure theres an animal living under her milking parlor. but it could have been a frog, too. she rarely eats anything that isnt really delicious..she doesnt eat a lot..but if there was something in the water or whatever, then there you go.

anyhow...off to take her for a walk. i decided to stay till tomorrow. will make it a really hard week for me as i have a ton of cakes for the weekend, so..its going to be all crammed into a few days. but its too nice today to go home!!

DAWNWATERWOMAN - thank you.

SHOCOSS - Same here. I've been trying to do Earthing more so I'll walk around my backyard barefoot.

NIGHTSKYSTAR - Too deep of snow for you or Lucy? LOL I can't wait until next winter when our little pup gets to see snow.

Lucy and I walk outside every day. rain or shine, until the snow gets too deep. I have always worked in the woods (i was an educational ranger for the state for a time...a head lifeguard for a big state beach, did trails and outdoor education)
i cant say enough about being out!!

Thanks for sharing. I have to agree. I would rather be outdoors than indoors. It is a form of therapy for me.
Days like today, very windy, I stay indoors emoticon

I belong to Yes.Fit and do virtual races. We receive emails from FlatKevin. This was in today's email from FlatKevin. I think it is good to remember so I'm sharing it here...

emoticon 5 Benefits of Walking in Nature emoticon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. It can make your brain work better. Walking through a forest or green area with trees has been found to aid memory and learning.
2 . A forest walk can help lower blood pressure. It's relaxing and reduces stress.
3. If you want to challenge your self take a Nature hike.
4. Restored mental energy. You know that feeling where your brain seems to be sputtering to a halt? One thing that can help get your mind back into gear is exposing it to restorative environment, like in nature.
5. Take your pets and kids, taking a nature walk inspires curiosity and imagination.
