I've really tried this weekend not to sleep in. Feel much better. Sure, I stayed in bed longer than when I have to go to work but I am trying to get up between 7 and 8 am. Did it this weekend...we'll see how I feel on Monday morning.

My plans got derailed a bit, unfortunately. A co-worker resigned so I've got extra work and my mom has been in the hospital since Friday. I still managed to get 8 hours a couple nights but I will probably have to settle for 7 to 7.5 hours on average, which is still better than the 5 to 6 I was sleeping before the challenge. Thanks for the encouragement.

I'm thinking if I push my walk time to evening, it might help my sleep time?

I'm still struggling with adjustments but I've noticed some improvement. During the week one I realized I was waking up way earlier than I needed to, so I added an extra 30 mins by waking up later in week 2 and that helped, as well as waking up at the same time on weekends. On weekdays, after sleep and work I get about 4.5 hours of personal time, 1 to 1.5 hours of which is now dedicated to P90X workouts, so I try to cram dinner, chores, errands, and relaxing into the remaining 3 hours and keep missing my bedtime by 30 mins to an hour. When I do get to bed on time, I wake up halfway through the night.

I suspect waking up early when I go to bed on time is due to my bedtime still being inconsistent, and I think that is because I try to do too much during the week so I can relax on the weekend. This week I'm going to try to save some things for the weekend so I can get to bed on time during the week. That should also give me more time to try some relaxation techniques before going to bed.
