I am in major outdoor organization. It was a very wet cool spring and I am way behind on clean-up. I hope to be caught up at the end of the week

I park in the shade as well as use window sunshades. I have one on the front windshield and then I take one across the back (hook one corner in the driver's back door, stretch across the outside to the other door and secure it with the passenger back door. In addition to that, I also started stretching another sunshade inside the passenger side doors to shade that from the morning sun.

If you just do one thing this week. . .
Display keepsakes in a series of shadowboxes. Before this summer's memorabilia starts piling up, get organized with your own mini art project: Gather a mix of mementos, photos, and small souvenirs and tack them with pins inside a framed box for an easy and meaningful display. Or, take on one of these easy to-dos:

*Stock up on last-minute gifts. You never know when you might need to bring along a hostess gift or send a little extra something with your thank-you note. Pick up a few extras now so you aren't caught later.

*Gather items to donate. It's an easy task that comes with a big payoff. Round up anything that you're ready to get rid of and decide whether to donate it or sell it.

*Park in the shade. When you can, keep your car out of the sun. Not only will it be more bearable when you get back inside, but it will help you save on gas too. The fuel can evaporate right out of the tank of a hot car.

If it dries up enough I need to weed the garden.

re-potting beans. They have grown too big for the starter pots. Hoping they don't die outside.

Well, I'm in an apartment now with no yard (moving this summer to our first house!!), so hopefully organizing the garage will count! haha

I took my husband out to dinner this evening and we dined outside. It was a very relaxing evening, which contributed to us organizing our thoughts for the next few days.

I line dried two loads of laundry. That will have to do for now. This weekend I'm preparing for some construction work in my bedroom.

Organize Something...Outdoors. In celebration of Summer, your challenge this week is to organize something outdoors. You might organize your garden, your patio or your backyard. Another option is to bring something outside that needs to be organized, like weeding out file folders, so you're enjoying the fresh air while accomplishing something at the same time.
